{"id":1564,"date":"2025-03-31T13:08:45","date_gmt":"2025-03-31T07:23:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/onlinepeoplesnews.com\/?p=1564"},"modified":"2025-03-31T13:08:45","modified_gmt":"2025-03-31T07:23:45","slug":"global-ime-bank-and-ifc-sign-agreement-to-advance-digital-financial-services","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/onlinepeoplesnews.com\/?p=1564","title":{"rendered":"Global IME Bank and IFC Sign Agreement to Advance Digital Financial Services"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">In a significant development for Nepal&#8217;s banking sector, Global IME Bank Limited and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) have signed an agreement to provide advisory services for advancing digital financial services and embedded finance models.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">The agreement was signed by Mr. Surendra Raj Regmi, Chief Executive Officer of Global IME Bank, and Mr. Allen Forlemu, FIG, Asia and Pacific Regional Industry Director of IFC.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"text-xl font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-0.5\">Strategic Partnership for Digital Transformation<\/h2>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Under this agreement, IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, will:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"[&amp;:not(:last-child)_ul]:pb-1 [&amp;:not(:last-child)_ol]:pb-1 list-disc space-y-1.5 pl-7\">\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\">Assess Global IME Bank&#8217;s digital transformation and data maturity<\/li>\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\">Identify areas requiring improvement<\/li>\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\">Provide strategic recommendations to enhance the bank&#8217;s digital banking capabilities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Additionally, IFC will conduct feasibility studies on fintech opportunities to promote embedded finance models and provide expert advice to Global IME Bank.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Following this understanding, the bank believes it will be easier to transform various services and facilities available in the bank and develop innovative and technology-friendly services.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"text-xl font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-0.5\">Commitment to International-Standard Digital Banking<\/h2>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Speaking at the signing ceremony, CEO Surendra Raj Regmi reaffirmed Global IME Bank&#8217;s commitment to providing international-standard digital banking services to its customers. He expressed confidence that this agreement would not only help promote the bank&#8217;s digital banking but also support the development and application of new innovations in fintech.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Mr. Regmi further emphasized that IFC&#8217;s knowledge and experience in digital banking and fintech partnerships from around the world would take Nepal&#8217;s banking sector to new heights.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"text-xl font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-0.5\">About Global IME Bank<\/h2>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Global IME Bank,
