They gathered knowing that the strength of our movements depends on our ability to learn from each other, build bridges across struggles, and defy the ruling class\u2019s attempt to isolate us.<\/p>\n
This year, in the face of increased crackdowns, they are meeting again\u2014bolder and more organized than before. The Trump administration\u2019s escalating repression of Palestine solidarity in the US, from the detention of activists like Mahmoud Khalil to the threat of mass deportations, is a reminder to all communists everywhere that state violence is always a tool to protect imperialist interests. But the response has been equally clear: when the people rise, they win. When Zionism tries to suppress the truth, the masses expose it. When corporations like Maersk profit from occupation and genocide, grassroots boycotts and blockades force their hand. The recent victory of the Mask Off Maersk campaign, which has pushed one of the world\u2019s biggest shipping giants to divest from companies in illegal Israeli settlements, is proof that sustained people\u2019s resistance works.<\/p>\n
This conference, built through the work of youth, workers, women\u2019s collectives, writers, and immigrant communities, reaffirms a basic truth for the world\u2019s left: our struggles are connected. The system that bombs Gaza is the same system that exploits workers from Kathmandu to Detroit, that fuels racism and xenophobia to divide us, that criminalizes dissent to preserve profit and power. Every deportation of an immigrant worker, every arrest of a pro-Palestine student, every media lie that distorts the Palestinian cause\u2014all of these are weapons of the same oppressive machinery.<\/p>\n
As Nepali communists and as internationalists, we must draw strength from this. We must speak loudly that solidarity with Palestine is not charity\u2014it is our duty as people who believe in a world free from imperialist occupation and capitalist plunder. The People\u2019s Conference for Palestine shows us that even in the heart of the empire, the people can organize, educate, and fight back. They remind us that this struggle is not only about protesting bombs and blockades\u2014it is about building the institutions of people\u2019s power that can one day bury the system that allows genocide to happen in the first place.<\/p>\n
This moment demands that all who stand for justice recognize the role of imperialist powers in sustaining Zionist aggression. It demands we isolate Zionism politically and economically, support the rebuilding of Gaza, and defend the right of Palestinians to return to their homeland. It demands that we raise our voices in our own communities, in our unions, in our schools, in our villages and cities\u2014because every action that disrupts the flow of weapons, profit, and propaganda to Israel is a blow against the oppressor.<\/p>\n
From Kathmandu to Detroit, from the Gaza camps to the universities, the message is clear: people\u2019s movements will not be silenced. No matter how many prisons they build, no matter how much propaganda they spread, they cannot stop a rising tide of solidarity forged through struggle. The Zionists have failed to bury the truth. The truth is that the people stand with Palestine, and Palestine stands with all who fight oppression.<\/p>\n
Let this year\u2019s conference echo far beyond North America. Let it remind us all that the future belongs not to the imperialists, but to the working class, the youth, the women, the peasants, the students who dare to imagine a free Palestine and a liberated world.
