3,000 Microfinance Victims Descend on Kathmandu, Demand Government Action<\/h2>\n

Thousands of microfinance and financial victims from across Nepal have converged on Kathmandu, their voices echoing frustration and demanding government intervention. The influx began with 3,000 individuals arriving in the capital, with Central Struggle Committee Chairman Mani Ram Gyawali confirming more are on the way.<\/p>\n

Their arduous journey highlights their plight. Over 1,000 victims, including Jeevan Sunar from Bardia, walked for six days via Muglin, arriving weary but resolute. Sunar expressed their disappointment with the government’s inaction, stating, “They formed a committee, but nothing changed. So, we came again to remind them of our struggle.”<\/p>\n

The group spent a night at Tribhuvan Park in Thankot before continuing their march. Gyawali reported that they rallied from Thankot to Tinkune via Kalanki and commenced a peaceful protest.<\/p>\n
