Xi Jinping is going for a state visit, in Vietnam

Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Chinese president, arrived in Vietnam on Tuesday for a state visit.

During his visit, Xi will hold talks with Nguyen Phu Trong, general secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, and Vo Van Thuong, state president of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and meet with Pham Minh Chinh, prime minister of Vietnam, and Vuong Dinh Hue, chairman of the National Assembly, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

The two sides will discuss upgrading the China-Vietnam relations with focus on six major areas including politics, security, practical cooperation, public support, multilateral affairs and maritime issues, and work to deepen and substantiate the comprehensive strategic cooperation between the two countries, said a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
