China says shocked by Iran’s blasts, voices support on counter-terrorism

The Chinese Foreign Ministry on Thursday said it’s shocked to learn about the deadly blasts in Iran’s Kerman City and expressed support for Iran’s efforts to safeguard its national security and stability.

“We express our condolences over the victims and sincere sympathy to the bereaved families and the injured people,” ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin told a daily press briefing on Thursday, adding that China firmly opposes all forms of terrorism.

Iran has called Wednesday’s blasts which killed 84 people an act of terrorism but no group has claimed responsibility so far.
