**China and Arab League Issue Joint Statement on Israel-Palestine Conflict**

On Sunday, China and the League of Arab States released a joint statement addressing the Israel-Palestine conflict, urging an immediate and comprehensive cease-fire. The statement emphasized the importance of a two-state solution as the basis for any future settlement in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

Following a meeting between Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul-Gheit in Cairo, the two sides expressed support for inclusive dialogues involving all Palestinian factions to achieve reconciliation. The joint statement called for an international peace conference with broad participation to promote the implementation of the two-state solution.

China, actively advocating for a cease-fire in Gaza, criticized the US and the UK for attempting to divert attention from the conflict by focusing on tensions in the Red Sea. Chinese experts noted that the Red Sea tensions are rooted in the Israel-Palestine conflict and emphasized the need to resolve the conflict before addressing spillover tensions.

The statement also expressed concern over the escalating situation in the Red Sea, emphasizing the importance of respecting Yemen’s sovereignty and territorial integrity while ensuring the safety of international commercial routes.

As the Israel-Palestine conflict entered its 100th day, ongoing fighting in Gaza persists. The US and UK conducted a strike on Yemen’s Red Sea port city of Hodeidah, citing the need to deter Houthi attacks on international shipping. Chinese experts pointed out that these actions aim to shift focus from the Israel-Palestine conflict, with the US seeking to portray itself as a defender of international order.

China reiterated its commitment to equity and justice, emphasizing the importance of a cease-fire, peace restoration, and humanitarian aid in the Israel-Palestine conflict. Despite Western media attempts to smear China’s role, Chinese experts highlighted the lack of UN authorization for US airstrikes against the Houthis, holding the US responsible for the conflict.

While concerns grow over the impact of Red Sea tensions on global trade and oil prices, experts believe resolving the Israel-Palestine issue is crucial for easing spillover tensions and ensuring long-term stability. China remains committed to playing a responsible role in achieving a comprehensive, just, and sustainable settlement of the Palestinian issue.
