Kathmandu, January 27: During a meeting with the high-level delegation of the United Nations on disarmament issues, Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal said that Nepal is always in favor of world peace.
During the meeting with the team, including Miss Izumi Nakamitsu, who led a high-level delegation on behalf of UNODA, the United Nations body on disarmament, on January 26, Prime Minister Dahal said that Nepal’s peace process is exemplary and emphasized that dialogue is the only option for world peace.
The historical peace process in Nepal has become an example for countries around the world. The Russia-Ukraine war, the Israel-Hamas conflict, etc. have added challenges to world peace. But we want to emphasize that a solution should be found through dialogue, the PM said.
Prime Minister Dahal also reminded that Nepal, the land where Buddha was born and a peace-loving country, has been playing a significant role in various international forums for the establishment of peace in the world.
