CPN (Unified Socialist) Kicks Off 10th National Convention in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, July 1:The 10th National Convention of the CPN (Unified Socialist) commenced yesterday in the capital, marking the beginning of a significant five-day event aimed at electing a 299-member working committee and 21 office-bearers.

The convention was inaugurated by Party Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal, with the presence of senior leaders from various political parties. Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal addressed the inaugural session, as confirmed by CPN (Unified Socialist) leader Som Prasad Pandey.

The event has attracted 1,849 delegates from across the nation. The senior leaders and delegates assembled at Bhrikutimandap and proceeded in a march to the Nepal Academy Hall in Kamaladi, the designated venue for the convention.

This convention is a pivotal moment for the CPN (Unified Socialist), as it seeks to strengthen its organizational structure and outline its future political strategies.
